Show Your Mom a Good Time on Mother's Day!by NW Storages on 04/25/18
Mother’s Day is almost here! On Sunday, May 13, we all take a day to honor our mothers and show our love for them. But it’s not just sons and daughters expressing their appreciation for all that mothers do; many local businesses are eager to show mom some love, too.
Here are just a few of the events planned in and around Seattle for Mother’s Day.
Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium is offering mothers (and grandmothers!) a half-price admission on Saturday, May 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Woodland Park Zoo is making the same offer, too! Again, half-price admission to the zoo on Saturday, May 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Spend part of your day in Bothell, at the Country Village Shops. On both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., you can shop, enter to win a $150 shopping spree, take advantage of special sales and offerings at the stores, and even help your kids create a special gift for you, for free! Mother Goose will be available for pictures on Saturday and on Sunday, you’ll enjoy a wonderful wine walk!
The Pike Place Market Flower Festival begins at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and stays active until 5:00 p.m. both days. Nearly 40 vendors will be present, so you can find just the right arrangement or bouquet for the special woman in your life. There will also be a Mother’s Day cooking class offered in the Atrium Kitchen.
At Bellevue Botanical Gardens, you can enjoy a Mother’s Day social featuring shopping, music, artists, ballroom dancing demonstrations, and tours of the 53-acre site. Free admission makes this a great weekend adventure!
There are plenty of events planned for Mother’s Day weekend, of course, including a Mother’s Day Train Ride between Snoqualmie and North Bend, a bonsai show in Federal Way courtesy of the Pacific Bonsai Museum, and much, much more.
Whatever you and your mom, or you and your kids decide to do to demonstrate your love and devotion, you’re bound to have a great time and mom is sure to feel as special as she is!
